Pamela O'Shea

Pam has provided Organizational Development, Executive Development and Coaching, Business Communications, Leadership Development and Coaching, Change Management, and Customer Satisfaction programs and services to corporations for over 20 years. Prior to forming her own consulting firm, Pam held a variety of senior level corporate positions. She was most recently with SunAmerica Inc. where she held the position of Vice President and Director of Organizational Development and Training.

In working with organizations to help them assess and implement strategies to address their leadership, business, and technical needs, Pam has:

• Coached senior level management in various corporations to establish and communicate corporate business strategies, formulate and execute long term plans, improve processes, manage performance, recruit and retain talent, and increase their own personal effectiveness
• Developed programs for succession planning and mentoring for high potential employees
• Led focus groups for employees at all organizational levels to help corporations develop feedback and communication systems, redesign processes, procedures and organizational structure, and establish core competencies for organizational leaders
• Managed the design, development, implementation, and facilitation of organizational development and training programs in the areas of leadership roles and responsibilities, strategic planning and goal setting, process improvement, performance management, communication, change management, team building and effectiveness, and quality customer service
• Helped organizations link classroom training with web-based training by conducting assessments and surveys to determine the organization’s readiness and capacity for implementing e:learning and by offering traditional training and consulting programs to supplement e:learning – maximizing effectiveness by matching the use of each delivery format to its strengths

Pam has been an adjunct faculty member at both the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of California, Berkeley. At UCLA, she was a member of the curriculum committee for business management and she designed and presented programs in quality customer service and leadership. At Berkeley, she was affiliated with the International Business/Management Department and designed and presented programs for global clients.

Pam is a member of the American Society of Training and Development and serves as a member of the Executive Advisory Board for their Financial Services Forum. Pam has been a conference speaker, on numerous occasions, at the annual ASTD International Conference and Exposition. Tapes of her sessions have been advertised in the “Best Sellers” catalog of ASTD National Conference Sessions.
